Women’s Way announce their first ever Women’s Way Children’s Awards
In September Woman’s Way is holding the first Women’s Way Children’s Awards, the Woman’s Way and Pharmaton Kiddi Children’s Awards 2017 – the search for Ireland’s bravest children.
Woman’s Way and Pharmaton Kiddi have teamed up to find Ireland’s bravest and most courageous children. The magazine and its sponsor are looking nationwide for nominations in the Woman’s Way Children’s Awards 2017 in association with Pharmaton Kiddi.
The Women’s Way Children’s Awards, the first for the magazine, give parents, relatives, friends, charities and community groups the opportunity to recognise and reward the fantastic work children in Ireland have done.
The eight categories in the awards are young carer of the year, young fundraiser of the year, Outstanding courage, Outstanding achievement, Overcoming adversity, Act of bravery, superhero, and Charity or group of the year.
Open to children throughout Ireland aged five to 18, category winners will be invited to attend a special ceremony in September in Dublin. This is a celebration of achievement and an opportunity to recognise the sterling work that so many children are undertaking throughout the country. From those born with challenging conditions to those excelling in the face of adversity, to young fundraisers who give charity their all, to young carers who are doing incredible, selfless work, all the winners will be celebrated and have exceptional, life inspiring stories to share.
On the Awards, Áine Toner, editor of Woman’s Way says: “We are very excited to launch the inaugural Children’s Awards and to work with such an appropriate brand as Pharmaton Kiddi. From those born with challenging, often life-limiting conditions to the young fundraisers making a difference, to those brave children working on overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we know that there will be exceptional stories to share.”
Emeka Maduka of Pharmaton comments: “We’re really excited to have Pharmaton Kiddi involved for the first year of the Woman’s Way Children’s Awards. It’s a great opportunity for us to shine a light on Ireland’s brightest stars, whatever their achievements. Pharmaton’s values are centred around dedication, perseverance, and performance and these awards are the perfect way for us to reward both children and parents who embody these values.”
If you know a child who deserves recognition, complete the nomination form in the current issue of Woman’s Way or log onto www.womansway.ie. The closing date for entries is August 12, 2017.
