The Mid West Drugs & Alcohol Forum (MWRDAF) are interested in trying to develop engagement in drugs & alcohol issues in East Limerick.

To this end, I am proposing to hold a meeting in East Limerick on Friday 10th March at 10am in Hospital FRC.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together people who have an interest in, or have concerns in relation drug & alcohol issues in East Limerick.

At this point in time, and in the absence of a structured community voice around drugs & alcohol issues, I am initially going to work through organisations on the ground in East Limerick, and therefore am inviting you, or an interested colleague to attend on the 10th March.

The role of the MWRDAF is that of a co-ordinating body in relation to drugs & alcohol issues, to identify gaps and issues and to see how they can be addressed.  We can only do that with other peoples, input and support.  The MWRDAF remit stretches from education & prevention, across treatment, rehabilitation and research addressing the needs of both substance misuser and family members impacted by substance misuse.

I am proposing that the meeting lasts 2 hours and that discussion will focus on areas of concern but also an opportunity to advise of what services are currently available in East Limerick, and what it is they provide.

I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope you will be able to attend on the 10th.

(If you have any questions, you can call me on my mobile below).

Kind regards
