What’s New?

Hydrotherapy Pool Re-Opened

We are delighted to announce that the hydrotherapy pool re-opened its doors in July after closing for refurbishment. It’s great to have it open again and the new features have really brightened the place up. Great to see all our groups and individuals back using the pool.

Green School

It was a great achievement for St. Gabriel’s School to receive the Green-School certificate from An Taisce back in July. Thanks to everyone who was involved in this project.

Events Recap

Dolores’s Garden and Coffee day

A special mention of thanks to Dolores for hosting the wonderful fundraising coffee day in her beautiful garden. I’m sure people will be delighted to know that €2,360 was raised. It was a wonderful result and a tribute to the generosity of so many people who gave their support to the fundraiser. We would like to convey our sincere thanks to everyone. With the funds raised we were able to purchase a Motomed. This is a specialised therapy device designed to enable regular movement training for children with physical limitations.

Adare En Plein Air Art Competition

St Gabriel’s was delighted to be associated with Adare en plain air, art competition. A big thank you to Andrew Timoney, Draiocht Art and Craft gallery Adare for nominating St Gabriel’s and well done to the winners.

Summer Swim Camps

It’s been a busy Summer for swim camps at our hydrotherapy pool!
The kids enjoyed many fun activities in the pool, as well as outdoor activities and play time in our fully equipped sensory playrooms.

Overall the camps were a great success and thanks to the volunteers who helped to make it enjoyable for the kids.

Roy Keane Visit

It was a great day here at St. Gabriel’s when we were lucky enough to get a visit from Roy Keane. It was a lovely experience for the families and the kids to meet this football legend. Roy was extremely generous with his time. He signed lots of autographs and answered everyone’s questions.

Minister Launches Benefit Night

We were delighted Minister Patrick O’Donovan TD launched the St. Gabriel’s Benefit night. He acknowledged the great work that is done in St. Gabriel’s for children with disabilities in the region. On the night the Minister was joined by Senator Maria Byrne, members of our voluntary fundraising committee and some children and families who attend St. Gabriel’s services.
