Welcome to the Limerick Public Participation Network (PPN) newsletter that will give updates and links to upcoming events / information posted on the PPN Web-site.
Next Plenary Meeting of the PPN

The next Plenary meetings of the Limerick PPN will be held as follows:

Tuesday, March 8th, 5.30pm, Limerick City Hall Exhibition Centre (Merchant’s Quay)
Wednesday, March 9th, 8pm, Croom Community Centre
Agendas will be available on the Limerick PPN website.

LCDC Election

The first election to the PPN was the election of candidates to the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC). The following candidates were deemed elected to the LCDC and will be up for ratification at the next Plenary meeting:
​Susan O’Neill, St. Munchin’s Umbrella Group
Tony Lynch, Moyross Community Enterprise Centre

We want to hear from you!

The PPN Community Engagement worker has developed a short survey for PPN members to get their feedback on how the PPN develops its engagement process. An email will follow containing the survey link, and primary and secondary contacts registered with the PPN may be contacted by phone for their opinions.
New Faces at the PPN

Matt Cannon – Community Engagement

Matt’s role as Community Engagement Worker has been a great help since early November in reaching out to PPN members and helping them with the linkage group and election processes. Matt has developed a short survey for PPN members to get their feedback on how we engage with them. This will be undertaken on-line and over the phone.

Patrick Fitzgerald – Web-site & Database Support

Patrick Fitzgerald, a Limerick student with a certificate in computer programming and experience of volunteering in mental health and rural isolation has been helping to review and update the website taking on board comments from users to make it more accessible and also examining the web-site from the perspective of disability access. Patrick’s role will to be to assist in the administration of the web-site and database administration.
