The Community Participation Network Limerick is pleased to invite you to a meeting to be held on Thursday 1st June from 10.30am-12.30pm, at the Health Hub, Rutland Street, Limerick.( The Health Hub shares a space with FabLab on Rutland Street-across from the Hunt Museum. The aim of this meeting is to expand a local network in Limerick to allow better co-ordination and collaboration between organisations that work in the local community and support the inclusion of people with disabilities and others that are marginalised. Limerick Community Participation Network aims to offers a menu of training options to a range of people who have experience and those with limited experience of participating in local government structures.
The training courses developed and delivered by the CPN have included Practical Self Advocacy, Community Development Practice, Governance Training, Health and Wellness, Empowerment and Advocacy and Empowering parents. Limerick CPN also recently organised and coordinated a ‘Community Day’ as part of an accessibility project with Limerick Public Participation Networks (PPN).
We hope that you will give due consideration to this invitation and that you will engage in this network where organisations can collaborate, network and promote best practice within local community structures. We hope that our collaborative efforts will help address our shared challenges.
