The second annual ‘Hospital Arts & Culture Festival’ will take place from 14th – 18th September 2016.

Wednesday 14th of September
7.30PM | Youthreach | Hospital Arts and Culture Festival Launch
- Festival is Launched by Pat O Callaghan of ‘Scoby’s Bar’ Hospital, the 2015 Knight of Hospital.
- Visual arts displays-Incl. Photograhy by Bernie Hennessy and Tom Quish.
- Thomas McCarthy-Winning Poet
- ‘Man of Mistaken Identity’ performance by Hospitals Transition year student in the yard of Youthreach 8:15pm.
- The illumination of Youthreach 9pm.
Thursday 15th of September
7:30pm | Hospital Community Hall
- Rolling back to the 70’s with “GIMIK” the band.
- Starring; Paddy O’Sullivan, Michael O’Sullivan, Eugene O’Sullivan, Kevin Sheehy, Mike Su O Sullivan and Comedian Jon Kenny (D’unbelivables).
Friday 16th of September
- Transition year performance of ‘Man of Mistaken Identity’ at Hospital Secondary School Hall.
- ‘Young at Heart’ event in the De La Salle Hall Hospital (behind the Hospital Resource Centre).
- Music, story-telling, and food.
- Free Admission.
Saturday 17th of September
- Food and Craft Fair; 11am to 4pm.
- GIMIK-Final Performance @ 7:30pm
- Rolling back to the 70’s with “GIMIK” the band performing. Begins at 8:15pm sharp. Starring; Paddy O’Sullivan, Michael O’Sullivan, Eugene O’Sullivan, Kevin Sheehy, Mike Su O Sullivan and Comedian Jon Kenny (D’unbelivables).
Sunday 18th of September-Hospital Arts and Cultural Street Festival
- 12:30pm Parish Walk or Run (Ring of Knockainey) starting at Hospital Resource Centre.
- Followed by Cookery Demonstation by Carol Dollery of RTE’s “The Resturant”.
- Hospital Gun Club Street BBQ 1pm to 4pm
- BBQ
- Street Comedy
- Live Street Music from ‘Stix n’Stones and ‘Room 58’.
- Adult Fancy Dress Competition €100 prize for best dressed.
- 4pm Crowning of the Knight of Hospital
- Games in bank place; sheaf throwing, daddy’s race, mammy’s race.
- Kiddies Costume Disco @ 4:30pm Hospital Community Hall. Free Entry.
- 8:15pm Lantern and Light memory parade from Youthreach to GAA clubhouse, where lantern’s will be launched. Backdrop of choir singing. Ballons availiable at Youthreach before parade.
