To celebrate the opening of a unique summer exhibition of two of Ireland’s most important 20th-century artists, The Hunt Museum is holding a:

Black Tie Gala Dinner in association with The Savoy Hotel on Thursday, June 1st, 2017.

Proceeds raised will go to The Hunt Museum Education and Community Engagement Programmes.

‘Jack B. Yeats and Paul Henry: Contrasting Visions of Ireland’ is billed to be a show of both national and international significance, featuring 50 works, many of which are normally unavailable for public viewing, and brings together a collection drawn from private and public collections including works from the European Investment Bank Collection in Luxembourg.

On the evening of June 1st, a Private Preview of the exhibition with drinks reception will take place at The Hunt Museum from 6 pm, followed by the Hunt Museum Gala Black Tie Dinner at The Savoy Hotel from 7.30pm. The hotel will present a sumptuous six-course menu of seasonal and local delights, and the evening includes an auction and other surprises.

It has been 20 years since the official opening of The Hunt Museum, which houses approximately 2,000 works of art and antiquities donated to the Mid-West Region by John and Gertrude Hunt. The historic 18th century Palladian former Custom House in Limerick City, designed by Davis Ducart, is home to this wonderful international collection.

Tickets per person cost €150 for the Gala Dinner, and €250 for Gala Dinner plus Private Preview of the exhibition.
